League Rulebook

Adopted for the 2026 season

§ 01 Format

The League runs over the 2026 calendar year. Members compete across six official courses.

  • Encino / Balboa (Encino Course)
  • Simi Hills
  • Rio Hondo
  • Rustic Canyon
  • Industry Hills (Ike Course)
  • Santa Anita

§ 02 Required Rounds

  • Every player must play each course at least once.
  • Each course may be played a maximum of twice — your best score of the two counts.
  • Total counting rounds: six (one per course).

§ 03 Round Eligibility

For a round to count toward standings:

  • You must declare in advance to the group that it is a league round.
  • You must play with at least one other league member.
  • You must post the score the same day (within 24 hours).
  • Your GHIN handicap must be active and updated.

If any of these conditions aren't met, the round does not count.

§ 04 Scoring & Champions

Gross Champion — lowest combined gross score across all six counting rounds.

Net Champion — lowest combined net score across all six counting rounds.

Ties are broken by scorecard playoff on the toughest course's round.

§ 05 Tees, OB, Max Score, Mulligans & Gimmes

Tees. Blue tees at all courses. No exceptions.

Out of bounds. All areas of the course are played as red-stake hazard areas:

  • One shot penalty.
  • Two club lengths from point of entry, then play your next shot.
  • Option to play laterally from the middle of the fairway — but that's a two-stroke penalty if you choose it.

Maximum gross score.

  • Double par on par 4s and par 5s (10 on a par 5, 8 on a par 4).
  • 7 on any par 3.

No mulligans. No gimmes — putt everything.

§ 06 Disputes

  • On-course disputes are resolved by the group playing the round.
  • Larger rulings are decided by a simple majority vote of league members.

§ 07 Conduct

Have fun, and chirp each other respectfully.
